What to expect

Upon your afternoon arrival you will meet your guide who will introduce you to the ranch and your lodging. Your guide will go over Lake Cisco Ranch guidelines and safety rules to have you sign release forms. Next, you will have time to get settled into the lodge, relax, and enjoy some time getting to know other guests. You will also have the option to be taken to the shooting range or strait to a blind to get an opportunity to hunt.

Texas sunrises come early; your guide will be waiting to take you to your stand an hour before the sun comes up. You will spend approximately 3 hours in a ground or tower hunting blind with comfortable chairs. Once the morning hunt has ended, its back to the covered skinning area for cleaning the morning kill. For an additional fee you can have your guide do the skinning and quartering.

During the day feel free to head into the town of Cisco (13 minutes to downtown from front gate) to check out local eateries and the historic downtown shops, or enjoy the nearby Old Zoo Nature Trail near the dam (less than 10 minutes away). You can also choose to stay at the ranch for rest and relaxation as you enjoy the great view of the lake from the new lodging, great fishing opportunities (catch perch, crappie, bass, and catfish), or even kayak and swim.

Then there is the evening hunt, this is where most of the action occurs. Pigs can be very noisy at times and adds another level of excitement to the hunt. Your guide will be ready to take you out mid-afternoon, giving you approximately 3 more hours in the blind until just after dark. Thermal hunting is not currently available. Just after dark, your guide will take you back to the covered skinning area. An outdoor fire will be waiting for you giving you a relaxing place to skin and prep your animal and hang out with your fellow hunters, swapping stories from the days events. Again, your guide can skin and quarter for you. See pricing guide above.
