Pig Bait - Try sour corn
Want to call in pigs with bait? Try to sour some corn by filling a 5-gallon bucket just over 1/2 to 2/3 full, then add water until corn is covered with about 3 inches of water. The corn will absorb the water and the fermentation process will create pressure, so make sure to vent lid by drilling small hole in it. Then set outside for 5 to 7 days. To speed the souring process try adding yeast in with the corn. Pour soured corn directly on the ground or try digging holes with a post hole digger about 2 foot deep, then add the soured corn and kick some dirt on top of it. It makes a pretty effective bait in traps as well, as most other animals will not be attracted to the soured corn. The pigs will go crazy and root up the ground to get every last kernel of corn and will revisit the area for several days. Makes a great bait for traps as well.
